I work with writers and producers on their scripts.

How, exactly?

It is the writers job to create a story we want to explore and move through.

I am an engineer. My job is to stand behind or next to you and make sure the building of your script remains standing. Does it have all of the proper doors and windows? Is there running water? Additionally, it is a vital part of my work to make sure you, the writer, do not unknowingly compromise or collaborate your way out of writing the story you love and into something that is basic and been done before.

I am a curious human who is interested in finding and excavating the roots of limiting beliefs, walking with you back to a place of confidence, defibrillating creative flow, working with you in collaboration as needed, and passionately protecting and holding space for the magic at the heart of your story. No more, no less.

*This also sometimes looks like and includes script doctoring, editing, consulting, pitch packaging, and analyst services.. if you need a title for your taxes. :)

  • “Ami has a natural gift at helping writers crack the very hard nut of what the story is actually about. Her feedback on a draft of my second feature was challenging to hear and receive for personal reasons, but it was exactly what I needed in order to hit the emotional core of the story. The ability to access this, in my opinion, is what makes a filmmaker's work excel and Ami will help you get there. I am so grateful for her insight, empathy and understanding of story. Ami helped push me to where I needed to go when I didn't quite know how to get there. Ami is a treasure.”

  • “Working with Ami on the early stages of adapting my script from stage to screen was so helpful. She is such a great listener and gave me the confidence to see the potential in my story. She also gave me some brilliant exercises to work with to help decide what scenes and aspects of the story would work best for screen.”

    Ceri Ashe, Stage and Screenwriter

  • “Ami is patient, encouraging and gives clear and helpful advice shaped by her extensive experience in the industry. Her enthusiasm and commitment to each script or treatment she works on is incredibly motivating. She always works with the best interests of the script or treatment in mind, and is able to advise on where best to pitch the idea. She is always willing to look at multiple drafts, and responds quickly and graciously to requests. I highly recommend her script services.”

    Martha Reed, Screenwriter

  • “As much fun as writing is, it can be an exhausting and lonesome journey. It's easy to get lost in the maze of your imagination or caught in loops of second-guessing. Once Ami is in your passenger seat, the journey becomes a pleasant summer road trip. With her guidance, you can keep your creative focus on the path ahead. No more bleary-eyed all-nighters because you took the wrong turn in a panic - Ami will calmly keep you from veering off into the jungle. When it comes time to pitch, her marketing expertise is essential and has helped me streamline and sharpen chaotic ideas into sellable pitches!”

    Todd Casey, Writer and Producer

  • “Ami was super informative and helpful. She is clearly really energised by helping people be the best creatives they can be. Not only did she give me important insight into developing my characters and script but she was there at the crucial time when I needed to knuckle down and polish my pitch. Thank you, Ami!”

    Ffion Jones, Stage and Screenwriter

  • “I recently sent Ami one of my screenplays. Although it was receiving positive feedback, it kept being rejected and I couldn’t work out why. Ami read the script in detail and was able to identify the problem quickly. We discussed it and with Ami’s help I was able to find solutions. After rewriting a few scenes, I sent it to Ami again and we both agree that the new script is much stronger. I am looking forward to submitting the new version to production companies.”

    Rachael Bird, Author and Screenwriter
